Swedish Massage:


One of the oldest and widely practiced massage techniques. Swedish massage was developed in the 19th century and involves the use of hands, forearms, and elbows to manipulate the superficial layers of the muscles to improve mental and physical health. Benefits include increased blood circulation, mental and physical relaxation, decreased stress and muscle tension, and an improved range of motion.


Deep Tissue Massage:


Used for focussed (or localized) massage work, deep tissue massage works specific joints, muscles, or muscle groups at a deeper layer than tradtional massage techniques.


Sports Massage:


A specialized massage which is applied before, during, or after a particular sporting event to athletes. The goals of sports massage is to prepare the athlete for peak performance, reduce fatique, relieve swelling, reduce muscle tension, and promote flexibility in order to avoid injury.

Neuromuscular Massage:


Consists of the application of concentrated pressure on trigger points of pain and the passive stretching of specific muscles. Trigger Point Massage and Myotherapy are varieties of Neuromuscular Massage.


Karmapa Reiki


The Reiki practitioner uses a technique similar to the laying on of hands which channels healing energy through their palms to the recipient.


Chair Massage:


Generally done in a group, public, or business setting, chair massage is also referred to as a "seated massage." A chair massage generally lasts from 10-15 minutes and is performed while fully clothed. This is an excellent technique to use for working on the neck, shoulders, and upper back areas of the body.
